Yesterday we welcomed our local Westminster MP, Pete Wishart, to our Centre, FSC Kindrogan. Pete explored the Centre and visited our new biomass boiler, which has helping us to dramatically reduce our Carbon footprint over the last 10 months. He also took a tour around our three new ensuite rooms which were finished this month.
Pete discussed with us some of the challenges and opportunities which face FSC Kindrogan and outdoor education in Scotland. We discussed the difficulties of getting good internet connectivity in rural Perthshire, which is increasingly important to our visitors, how we are trying to support teachers to provide outdoor learning through our comprehensive teacher training programme and how we can support more learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to benefit from our facilities at Kindrogan.
